‘The Sins of My Beretta’ was a story about two sisters, Sinaya (Sin) and Blessing (Beretta). Both are involved in the street life, and although they portray themselves as tough on the outside, both are dealing with internal issues that stem from their childhoods.Everything seems to be ‘business as usual’; that is, until Sin and Beretta meet their matches in two men named Ghost and Streetz. Neither Sin nor Beretta was initially interested in the men romantically, but as the story wears on, their defenses are weakened as they find themselves falling in love… But unfortunately, as the story takes a series of sharp twists and turns, it doesn’t seem like either couple will have a ‘happily ever after’…
Trenae is a great story teller – this is evidenced by the fact that both of the main characters were given complex back stories that made them relatable to the average reader. Their stories rang so true that it almost made you forget about the fact that they were hardened criminals. My favorite characters were Ghost and Streetz, because they seemed like they truly cared for Sin and Beretta, and were willing to stick around for as long as it took to break down the walls that were holding them back from love.
Overall, great story, and well written.

This book was well written and so freaking good. Ghost and Streetz are both bae right now. I can't stand Ebony and I hope she gets everything she deserves. On to part 2.
If you're looking for a good book to read, this is it. The entire plot was on point. The dynamics of the characters and the way they blend together was excellent. You will love Sin and Beretta as well as Ghost and Streetz. Can't wait to read part 2.
It took awhile for me get into the story as it had a slow start and wasn't my usual pick up. BUT, this story had An unexpected twist that left me wanting more. I'm so glad that I finished it out. The hardest thing was Trying not to read all of the reviews and things that were coming in before I could finish. lol. I know to unfollow for the debut of part 2. The next will definitely exceed expectations. All of the characters are interesting which leaves you drawn to e everyone of them. I need to know that things turned out for the better for them all. Poor blessing, I knew someone was gonna die but Lord! .... I had real tears. Great job Author Trenae! Please don't keep us waiting ;)
This book was excellent! That cliffhanger has my petty level on 10! This was a true page turner! Character and plot development was on point! Trenae knows how to tell a story and man I feel emotionally invested in the characters! People need to stop sleeping on Trenaes pen and pick up this series!
I definitely love this crew!!! Sin and Beretta are what all sister's should be like. Ghost and Streetz are what brothers should be like. Than you add Rock in the mix and you got a family, even though Rock brain is clouded, I can't help but love them. Ending super crazy. All the secrets super crazy. Hopefully they come out on top!!!
Now Ebony was one trifling heffa and I hope Rock learns the truth before getting any deeper. Sin is beyond crazy and that chanting didn't help much. I will say Sin and Beretta showed they could hang with the best of them. I loved how she was with Noelle because she never allowed what happened to her cause conflicts in their relationship. I like Beretta as well but I could've punched her for being so selfish when it came to her and Streetz situation. Ghost and Streetz were definitely those dudes and proved they were bosses too. Streetz is a mess with his jokey ass and Ghost always went above and beyond for Breeze. Annette deserves to be toe tagged for being so grimy and I can't wait to see how crazy Sincere may actually be. I know things will heat up because Sin's blast from the past has surely shaken things up. Since part 2 is already out I'm ready to find out just what other secrets will unfold, if Sin will finally get some closure, if Ebony really did lie, and if what Rock said is true.
It took a lil to get into this story and it was good once it started to flow. Beretta and Sin have no filter not even for the men in their lives. I enjoyed the storyline of 2 boss chick's on the top of their game. The introduction of Ghost and Streetz however gave those two some softness but not too much. Ghost and Streetz no filters mouth were not here for their crap and made it known. The really starts to pick up once Sincere Bank was brought in. Old secrets start to spills and who they thought was closer than closer does not seem so as much. The revelation Rock gave Blessing just can be so, I really hope it the other way around. I'm looking forward to part 2, cause it just can be so....
